This 12 week course is specifically designed for graduate students, postdocs and science entrepreneurs who want to build businesses that commercialize university-owned intellectual property or have a deeper understanding of the issues involved in taking the right idea from the laboratory to the marketplace.
 
Course Description
 
Increasingly, researchers and individuals in science and technology are engaging in entrepreneurial ventures. This 12 week course is specifically designed for those who are considering starting ventures that commercialize university-owned intellectual property or want a deeper understanding of the issues involved in taking the right idea from the bench to the marketplace.

Course Instructor: David Anthony
David Anthony is an experienced entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and educator. Since founding 21Ventures in 2003, the fund has provided seed, growth, and bridge capital to over 39 technology ventures across the globe. David Anthony sits on the board of portfolio companies: Agent Video Intelligence, 3GSolar, BioPetroClean and VOIP Logic. David is on the board of directors of publicly traded Entech Solar, there he functions as the chairman of the compensation committee. David Anthony is an Adjunct Professor at the New York Academy of Sciences (NYAS).
